Welcome to Tampa Bay Backwater Eco Tours
Tour Options
Part of the day will be in the mangroves and then you have some options for the rest of the day:
- Egmont Key: Explore Fort Dade built in 1898 during the Spanish American war, to prevent the Spanish from entering Tampa Bay. Also tour the Egmont lighthouse, first built in 1848 then rebuilt in 1858 after damaged by a hurricane. Egmont beaches are a beautiful place for a picnic, shell picking and swimming.
- Passage Key: A small sand bar south of Egmont key. a great place for just lounging in the beautiful water.
